Anthony DeFilippis, President & Founder

Tony is the founder and chief foodie at Pranzo Tours. He grew up eating his mother’s wonderful southern Italian cooking served in the traditions of food and family that define Italian culture. He thought he knew Italian food until he traveled to Italy fifteen years ago. He hasn’t stopped exploring since.

Tony has spent the last eight years discovering authentic Italian experiences in the nooks and crannies of his favorite locations, including carefully kept artisanal traditions in the basements of family farmhouses to large warehouses of prosciutto and cheeses. No matter where he travels, Tony finds people who want to share their passions with you.

Nada Tizzano, Tour Designer and Event Planner

Nada was born and raised in Italy with a passion for the Southern region where she plans itineraries in Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany, and Campania.

Nada loves to get to know her guests before she plans their travel or special event so she can customize authentic Italian experiences for them. From choosing the best local guides to selecting the most authentic dining venue, she takes care of every detail, so that Pranzo guests can experience the soul and unique flavor of each destination.

  • Best way to start the day: Get up late and have breakfast looking at the sea, in Sardinia.

“We had a fantastic time in Umbria with Pranzo Tours. Tony planned out a well organized itinerary for four of us that included a truffle hunt, cooking classes, a bicycle adventure, wine tastings and vineyard tours, and wonderful restaurants.
